Convention 2008 Awards Recipients
Jeannette M. Collette Kindness Award - Kappa Upsilon Chapter
The Jeannette M. Collette Kindness Award is presented to the chapter which best exemplifies acts of philanthropy performed by the local chapter for an individual, for their college, community, an organization, and/or notable cause.
Outstanding Chapter Award - Kappa Chi Chapter
The ΚΔΦ National Affiliated Sorority Outstanding Chapter Award is presented to the chapter based upon their attendance to all National Meetings, good financial standing, accomplishment of their set goals for the year in more than one of the following, recruitment, financial and philanthropy, and maintenance of regular and consistent contact with their Field Consultant and/or other National representative
Against All Odds Award - Kappa Iota Chapter
The ΚΔΦ National Affiliated Sorority Against All Odds Award is presented to the chapter based on letters of recommendation from Field Consultants or other National Representative describing a situation(s) that shows extreme improvement over the previous year(s) for the Chapter in consideration.
The President’s Cup - Kappa Rho Chapter
The President’s Cup is awarded to the chapter with the highest number of registered undergraduate members at the Convention General Business Meeting. The number of registered undergraduates is multiplied by a mileage factor. Tradition has it, if a chapter wins The President’s Cup three years in a row they are allowed to keep it and a new cup will be placed into circulation. No chapter has been able to accomplish this feat until Convention 2008. Congratulations Ladies!
Most Alumnae Award - Kappa Eta Chapter
The Most Alumnae Award is awarded to the chapter with the highest number of alumnae members at the Convention. No mileage factor is involved in determining the winner.
Alumnae Award - Kappa Eta Chapter
The Alumnae Award is awarded to the chapter with the highest number of registered Alumnae members at the Convention General Business Meeting. The number of alumnae is multiplied by a mileage factor.
Display Award -
1st – Kappa Rho Chapter
2nd – Kappa Upsilon Chapter
3rd – Kappa Iota Chapter
The Display Award is awarded to the chapter with the most outstanding display at the Convention. The award will go to the chapter that scores the highest total in the following categories: Creativity, Originality, Traditionalism, Sisterhood, Philanthropy, and Brotherhood Awareness.
Leadership Award - Carmella Reiger – Kappa Xi Chapter
The ΚΔΦ National Affiliated Sorority Leadership Award is presented to a chosen sister based upon chapter nomination, active status, chapter leadership position, outside leadership positions, and overall GPA. Two letters of recommendation must accompany the application, one from the chapter and one from an additional source.
Highest GPA Award - Kelli Donovan – Kappa Alpha Gamma Chapter
The ΚΔΦ National Affiliated Sorority Highest GPA Award is presented to the sister with the highest GPA for the fall semester. Kelli Donovan achieved a 4.0 GPA during the Fall 2007 semester with a 15 credit course load.
Yellow Rose Award - Elizabeth Goff – Kappa Chi Chapter
The ΚΔΦ National Affiliated Sorority Yellow Rose Award is presented to a Chapter President based upon chapter nomination, active status, outstanding leadership and adherence to national policy, and she must emulate of the ideals of ΚΔΦ National Affiliated Sorority. A chapter recommendation letter must accompany the application.
