Kappa Mu Raise Money in Breast Cancer Benifit Dinner.
Kappa Mu Chapter of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority helped in the effort to “save second base.” On November 8th, the sisters hosted a benefit dinner and silent auction to raise money for CARY Medical Center, a local hospital, and the new mammogram suite they are currently building. Many items were donated from local businesses, along with a painting done by Amanda Delight, a woman who works in CARY’s mammogram suite.
Even brothers and sisters from other chapters helped make this event successful. John Repecko and Kem LaChance, both of Mu chapter helped KM, along with Ashley Stevens of Kappa Rho and Jon White of Rho chapter.
Thirty members of the community came to support this wonderful cause, including Shawn Anderson, who is second-in-command at CARY Medical Center. Over 1,000 dollars were raised, and donations are still coming in to support the new suite. The new suite will help hundreds of women in Aroostook county and our sincere thanks and gratitude go out to everyone who made this event possible.
