Kappa Alpha Alpha Chapter Raises Over $500 to Benefit MS Research
BREWER, Maine - On Saturday, April 24th, the sisters of Kappa Alpha Alpha Chapter participated in the Walk for Multiple Sclerosis in Brewer, Maine. This is the second year the chapter has been involved with the walk, and they plan to continue the tradition in the future given the many personal connections the chapter has with the cause. A number of the sisters have family members whose lives have been touched by this disease, and therefore the chapter is adamant to do anything they can to help find a cure.
The chapter raised over $500 for this walk – more than double the $250 they had anticipated! It was an extremely rewarding experience, not only due to the ability to contribute to the cause financially, but due to the many people affected by multiple sclerosis present at the walk and the appreciation they showed for the participants.
There are walks at several different locations in Maine each year, as well as across the country; to find a walk near you, check out www.walkms.org
