PT 2009 - USM Portland Campus

On November 7th 2009, the sisters of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority met for their annual President/Treasurer’s meeting which took place on the University of Southern Maine’s Portland campus. Over 100 sisters, undergraduates and alumnae, were present from all over the northeast; Sisters traveled from chapters and colonies in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania. Sisters spent the day discussing official business and were able report on news and events from their own chapters.

AFA 2009 Annual Convention

The 2009 Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Conference is being held in Jacksonville, Florida on December 6-10. As long standing members of AFA, a two member delegation from the Executive Board of Directors has been authorized to attend by the Board of Representatives.

The S.A.M. Fund


The SAMFund
is a unique non-profit organization created to assist young adult survivors of cancer with a successful transition into their post-treatment life, by providing financial support through the distribution of grants and scholarships.

Kappa Omicron Colony Recognized For Community Support by NBCC

Kappa Omicron Colony of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority, Inc. has received recognition from the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition for their efforts in supporting the North Adams, MA community. The Neighborlies are presented twice a year by the NBCC in appreciation of service that improves the North Berkshire community.

ΚΔΦNAS Alumnae Association Announces Philanthropy 2010 Project

Amy’s Treat Logo

At the 2009 annual meeting, in conjunction with ΚΔΦ Fraternity’s Alumni Association, the National Alumnae Association adopted Amy’s Treat as the 2010 philanthropy project. Amy’s Treat is an organization similar to Make-a-Wish. The organization provides patients living with the day-to-day difficulties of cancer with an unexpected “treat”. Kappa Alpha Mu Colony Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness

KAM Colony Light the Night
The founding class of Kappa Alpha Mu Colony at New England College worked together to raise breast cancer awareness through promotion of their event, Light the Night, during New England College’s Homecoming Weekend, October 2-4.

The seventeen women sold luminaria bags for two dollars apiece or three for five dollars. Individuals that purchased a bag were provided the opportunity to decorate them; many bags were decorated in rememberence of victims of breast and other cancers while others bags displayed the names of various organizations on campus that supported the effort.
