Why Kappa?
Kappa Delta Phi NAS is a social sorority that focuses on academics and philanthropy. Kappa is a lifelong commitment. It sounds like a long time, but you aren’t just joining a sorority, you are joining a family. We laugh together, cry together, & eat together… A LOT! Lifelong friends are gained. Through thick and thin you stick together because you are family.
We pride ourselves on academic achievements and recognize our active sisters for excelling in their academic life. Every year, at our National Convention in the Spring, awards are given out to Chapters and individual sisters for Academic Excellence.
As a sister of Kappa Delta Phi NAS, we are given the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for our National Philanthropy every year. Last year we raised $17,000.00 for our National Philanthropy, the Alzheimer’s Association. The active sisters conducted many fundraisers and held events to raise awareness. From bake sales to galas, our sisters are active in their philanthropic endeavors.
Many sisters will agree that Kappa has helped them grow and become a better woman. We are given the opportunity to be ourselves with our sisters without worrying about judgment or negativity. Every sister is given opportunities to develop as leaders. Kappa gives the unique experience of working with so many individuals that have the same goals. With these opportunities, sisters not only grow individually, but they also add to the growth of the organization.
Mission Statement: The purpose of Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority, Inc. shall be to promote academic achievement, to encourage community involvement through philanthropy, and to cultivate the everlasting bonds of sisterhood. We shall fortify the values of leadership, generosity, charity, and integrity within our sisters through guidance at both the chapter and national level.
