Fun Facts

• As of January 2025, we have 9 Active Chapters throughout New England and beyond.

• Our first Chapter was Kappa Lambda, at Husson University in Bangor, Maine. It was founded in 1971.

• Before the formal establishment of Kappa Delta Phi NAS, we had three Sororities that were founded by our Fraternity counterpart, Kappa Delta Phi. They were Kappa Beta Sorority, Kappa Phi Sorority, and Kappa Omega Sorority. Kappa Beta was located at Salem State College, in Salem, MA. Kappa Phi Sorority was founded at the University of Maine in Augusta. Kappa Omega Sorority was founded at Unity College in Unity Maine.

• We raised $20,o00 for our National Philanthropy, The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, in the 2023-2024 Academic School year alone.

• The sorority's business endeavors are carried out solely by volunteer alumnae.
